The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has removed Turkey and Jamaica from the grey list. At the same time, Monaco and Venezuela were added to this list.

The FATF grey list includes jurisdictions with insufficient measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing, which actively cooperate with the group to eliminate the identified shortcomings. These countries are under increased monitoring and are required to promptly correct their anti-laundering laws.

The FATF statement notes that Turkey has significantly improved its measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing, eliminating the shortcomings identified in October 2021. A similar wording is used to exclude Jamaica from the grey list, but shortcomings were identified there in February 2020.

FATF recommendations on combating money laundering are implemented by about 190 states and territories, but only 37 countries, including Russia, are members of the group. In February 2023, the FATF suspended Russia's membership, but it is still not included in either the black or gray list.
