  • Liquidity in yuan in the Russian market is recovering. The rates for attracting and placing yuan for banks have sharply decreased from 20% to 2.4%, which is the lowest level since June 2024, when sanctions were imposed against the Moscow Stock Exchange.


  • Russian business is faced with an increase in the terms of settlements with Kazakhstani banks. The time for making payments between Russia and Kazakhstan has increased by 24% and can now range from several weeks to two months. This is due to the tightening of compliance procedures, when local banks require more transaction documents.


  • The French prosecutor's office has demanded that the leader of the National Unification party, Marine Le Pen, be sentenced to five years in prison. Along with 26 party members, she is accused of embezzling funds from the European Parliament – in particular, of creating fictitious jobs for assistants to MEPs, whose work is paid for by the EU.  


  • Russia has been elected to the Committee for Program and Coordination, which is the main subsidiary body of the UN General Assembly. Russian representatives will serve on the committee from 2025 to 2027.


  • China has prepared countermeasures in case of increased trade competition with the United States. Over the past eight years, China has passed new laws to blacklist foreign companies and restrict U.S. access to key supply chains.
