From March 22 to 24, Beijing will host the annual international summit, which will bring together about 80 top managers from around the world. The event will become a key platform for discussing global economic issues. China was chosen as the venue for a reason – the country is actively strengthening trade and investment amid global instability. The delegates from the USA will make up the largest group of participants. Among them are Apple CEO Tim Cook, Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman, Broadcom CEO Hawk E. Tan, Citadel founder Kenneth Griffin, as well as leaders of McKinsey, Pfizer, Cargill and FedEx. More than a dozen American corporations are expected to participate, as well as representatives of companies such as Saudi Aramco, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Rio Tinto, Maersk, Prudential, Schneider Electric and others. The forum is held annually immediately after the end of the «two sessions» – the national meeting of the supreme legislative body of China, where the country's economic goals for the coming year are formulated. This makes the event particularly significant from the point of view of the strategic dialogue between the Chinese authorities and global business. The World Bank, the IMF, the Asian Development Bank, the US-China Business Council, Harvard and Oxford Universities are also among the invited guests.
