  • Russians miss Europe. Russian tourists' interest in Europe has grown significantly over the year: in July, European countries accounted for more than half of all hotel bookings abroad.


  • Kaspersky was banned in the USA. The Biden administration has announced a ban on the distribution of Kaspersky Lab products in the United States, citing threats to national security. From July 20, a ban on any transactions with Kaspersky Lab will be in effect, and on September 29 – on the use of the company's services.


  • Yandex N.V. shareholders are unhappy. The shareholders of Yandex N.V. complained to the Bank of Russia about Solid Management JSC for possible insider actions and segregation of investors. However, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation found no violations.


  • One of NOVATEK's main technology partners is ceasing operations in Russia. The Chinese company Wison New Energies is one of the manufacturers of modules for the Arctic LNG-2 project. However, the shutdown will be «smooth» – Wison New Energies will deliver all promised products on time. The company also refused contracts with Rosatom.


  • In Russia, the creation of a new exchange is discussing. The possibility of creating a new exchange on the basis of the former St. Petersburg Stock Exchange, now known as JSC Vostochnaya Exchange named after V. V. Nikolaev, is being considered. The exchange will specialize in trading Russian issuers, companies from friendly countries and derivative financial instruments.


  • The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation has relaxed the requirement for the mandatory sale of foreign exchange earnings by the largest exporters, lowering the threshold to 60%. Previously, exporters were required to transfer at least 80% of the foreign currency received under foreign trade contracts to their accounts with authorized banks.
